By the Grace of the Gods: Another Chance at Life
“Middle-aged businessman Ryoma Takebayashi is reincarnated in a magical world by three Gods. He’s a child again, and he spends his days with his tamed slimes.”
When you’ve just finished watching several emotionally-charged and battle-crazy anime episodes from your long list of anime to watch, you would want something with a lighter theme next. An anime that can act as a buffer, something to calm the nerves and emotions. A feel-good type.
By the Grace of the Gods is that kind of anime. The main character (MC), Ryoma, is reincarnated as a child in another world where magic exists, and the practice of magic is accepted. It has a touch of fantasy and adventure.
Ryoma’s previous life on Earth revolved around work. And now he is given a second chance at life, this time in another world – without the Earthly burdens on his shoulders. Together with his slime familiars, Ryoma goes on a new adventure, a new experience, a new life.
Admit it or not, most of us are “Ryomas”. We live to work. We wake up each day with work occupying our thoughts most of the time. We suck it up when we get looked down on by the higher-ups at work. We always smile and say yes for fear of getting fired. Because of these, we end up living a stressful life. We become work prisoners. And before we know it, the little spark we have left has already faded.
How nice it would be if we can have a second chance at life like Ryoma, magical or not. To have that spark ignited again for another adventure. For another shot at something beautiful called LIFE.
